To set up an email account in the email client Mail on your Mac, please see the below steps.

If you do not know your current email password, please visit this link for instructions on how to reset it.

1. If this is the first time you’ve opened Mail, you will be automatically prompted to add an account
2. Otherwise click Mail in the top left > Preferences
3. Click the + icon in the bottom left of the pop up to add a new account.
4. Type in name, email address and password and click Create
5. Account Type: Other or IMAP
6. Description: Optional setting, you can put in your email address here
7. Incoming Mail Server: Server hostname (in the form ‘LHxx.dnsireland.com’)
8. Enable Encryption, port: 993
9. Username: Your full email address
10. Password: Your email address password
11. Click Continue
12. Authentication: Password
13. Click Continue
14. Go to Outgoing Mail Server
15. Description: Optional setting, you can put in your email address here
16. Outgoing Mail Server: Server hostname (in the form ‘LHxx.dnsireland.com’)
17. Enable Encryption, port: 465
18. Tick Use Only This Server
19. Tick Use Authentication
20. Username: Your full email address
21. Password: Your email address password
22. Click continue
23. Authentication: Password
24. Click Continue > Create
