How to install an SSL cert for your domain via cPanel

Please see the following steps on how to install an SSL cert for your domain:

 

  1. Log in to your LetsHost client area and click on Services > My Services (in the blue navigation bar)
  2. You will see your products/services listed out here
  3. Click on the green Manage button beside your hosting package
  4. On the menu on the left, click on Login to cPanel
  5. Once logged in to your cPanel control panel, click on the SSL/TLS icon
  6. First we will generate the CSR
  7. Click on “Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests.” Under the “Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)” title
  8. For the CSR, fill out the form as follows:
  9. Key Size: leave as is
  10. Domains: www.(The domain name)
  11. Fill the other contact info as it applies to you
  12. Division: Sales (optional)
  13. Email: admin@(The domain name)
  14. Click the blue Generate button to generate the CSR and Private Key
  15. You will then need to respond to your Cert provider with the CSR (Encoded CSR:) and the Private key (Encoded Private Key:)
  16. The domain will need to be authenticated (usually done via email or file authentication), please contact your cert supplier for steps on how to complete this
  17. Once the domain has been authenticated, return to the SSL/TLS icon in cPanel and select “Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS)”
  18. Here you will need to input the Certificate and Certificate Authority Bundle (which you will receive from your supplier) and the Private Key (which you Generated earlier)
  19. Click Install Cert to complete the process
