Using the Activity Log in FileZilla

If you are having issues with FTP using FileZilla and you can’t find a solution from our knowledge base, you can send us the FTP activity log and we will be able to troubleshoot the issue for you.

To view the log, open FileZilla and near the top left make sure the “Toggles the display of the message log” button is set to on (it will have a blue background if it is enabled). You should have a text box along the top of FileZilla just under the quick connect section.

Next, try to FTP to your account again, this will update the log. You can then right click anywhere inside the box and click copy to clipboard.

Finally, you can then open a ticket in your client area and paste the log here and we can check out the issue for you.
