I received confirmation my .ie domain was registered but it still is not live - why?

When a new .ie domain name is being registered, it is approved in 2 parts by .IE. The first part, they confirm your connection to Ireland. Once confirmed, you will get an email to say the application has been accepted pending a DNS check. At this point, the domain name will still not be live.

After they confirm your connection to Ireland, .IE will do a check on the DNS nameservers submitted with the application. If they are valid and authoritative, the application process will pass the second check and the domain will go live. You will get a second email from .IE at this point.

If you require further information/assistance with this, please open a ticket with "LetsHost New Domain Registrations" through your client area.  Our Domains team will be able to assist you further.
