What is domain redemption and how does it work?

A domain will go into Redemption if payment has not been made 40 days after the renewal date. While in Redemption, there is a fee to remove it of €100 + VAT (in addition to the standard renewal fee). The domain will remain in Redemption for 30 days, if no payment has been made to remove from Redemption, the domain will then enter the Pending Delete phase. While in Pending Delete it will not be possible at all to renew it. The domain will remain in Pending Delete for approx. 5 days. After this time, the domain will become available to anyone to register again.

Please note that once a domain goes in to redemption, there is no guarantee that we will be able to secure the renewal upon receipt of the redemption fee.

If you have any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to 'Open a Ticket' and we will be happy to advise further.
