To register a .ie domain name, you can place an order on our website and when asked to show your connection to Ireland, select the fifth option ‘An Organisation (Charity, Club, Band, Association)’.
After your order goes through, you will receive an email asking for your charity CHY number. You may also need to provide the admin contact details (name, address, phone number and email address) for a director/staff member of the charity.
Applications of .ie domains for charities go through the same domain registration process as all other .ie domains – once the .IE Registry have all the information they require, the domain name is usually registered in one working day.
