Adding SPF/DKIM/DMARC DNS records to your domain name will help improve email delivery and reduce spam mail. To add these DNS records to your domain (if you have a hosting account with LetsHost), you will need to do this via your cPanel control panel. Please see the following steps to set these records up:
1. Log in to your LetsHost Client Area and click on Services > My Services
2. You will see your products/services listed here. Click on Active beside your hosting package
3. On the left, click on the link Login to cPanel
4. Once in the cPanel control panel, click on the icon for Email Delivery under the Email section
5. Click Manage beside the domain you want to update
For DKIM click the "Install The Suggested Record" button and cPanel should automatically configure this for you.
For SPF click "Customize" under the value option
1. scroll down to additional settings
2. Click add A New "+include" Item
3. Enter spf.antispamcloud.com in the text box
4. Tick the Use the “-all” Entry checkbox
5. Click Install A Customized SPF Record
For DMARC this will need to be manually added to the DNS zone via "Zone Editor" - you can use the search box at the top right or click the cPanel logo on the top left and navigate to the 'Domains' section, click 'Manage' beside the domain.
DMARC records are highly configurable depending on your needs, as such we can recommend a "default" DMARC record you can use on your domain or you can generate your own using advanced settings.
To add our recommended default DMARC click '+ Add Record' button.
In the pop-up enter the following details (Replacing yourdoamin.ie with your actual domain name):
Valid zone name: _DMARC.yourdomain.ie
TTL: 14400
Type: TXT
Record: v=DMARC1; p=none
Click 'Save Record' to add the DMARC record.
To configure your own custom DMARC record click the drop-down arrow to the right of the '+ Add Record' button and choose the 'Add “DMARC” Record' option from the drop-down.
In the pop-up, Under the "Record" section choose the "Policy" and click 'Optional Parameters' to access the advanced settings.
When you have your options selected click 'Save Record' to add the custom DMARC record.
Please note that adding these DNS records will take a few hours to propagate fully. If your domain is not using LetsHost nameservers, you will see the SPF and DKIM DNS records listed in cPanel - you can copy these and send them on to the provider responsible for the nameservers your domain is using.
